About the Item

Pair of Continental Silver Cocktail Muddlers, Early 20th Century 66 Grams A rare and elegant pair of Continental European silver cocktail muddlers, dating to the early 20th century, likely pre-WWII. These finely crafted tools feature twisted handles topped with simple loop grips and beautifully faceted, domed bases designed for muddling herbs, citrus, or sugar in cocktail preparation. Executed in solid silver with subtle hammering and hand-finishing, they exemplify a period when even utilitarian bar tools were made with a jeweler’s attention to detail. The intricately patterned heads provide excellent grip and texture, while the balanced weight and proportion make them functional and refined. Each is hallmarked near the head, consistent with Continental origin—possibly Austro-Hungarian or early Germanic silver. Wear to the marks suggests age and regular use, adding to their character. Dimensions: 6" high x 0.75" diameter A rare find for the serious barware collector, these antique muddlers blend sculptural form with bartending utility—bringing timeless style to classic cocktail service.
