About the Item

Modern Art Deco styling, this handsome Sterling Silver flask, made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, circa 1922. This is a classic flask made by the premier American silversmiths at Tiffany & Co. with unusual decoration. This flask has a traditional curved, rectangular body with rounded edges and a flat shoulder that supports a hinged and threaded button-shaped lid. The lid is reinforced with cork. The front is decorated with an enameled design depicting the Camel cigarette logo of a camel in profile against a subdued red enamel background. This discreet decoration paired with the flask's simple design makes it timeless but also a unique example of 20th Century high design. It is marked under the base with the mark of Tiffany & Co. The words Makers, Sterling Silver, 925,1000. Pattern number 19579 Order number 7613 The letter M for John C. Moore, Tiffany's president from 1907 1947 Approximate weight: 13 troy ounces.
