Élégant ensemble de couverts pour 12 personnes composé de couteaux et fourchettes anciens. Ils sont en acier et le manche est composé de bois incrusté de métal. Belle patine mais en excellent état d'utilisation. Ils ont étés soigneusement nettoyés mais respecte la trace du temps et la patine. Poinçonné Garantie Sollingen. ________________________________________________________ L'Art déco est un mouvement artistique de portée mondiale né progressivement dans les années 1910 et qui prend son plein épanouissement au cours des années 1920, avant de décliner lentement à partir des années 1930. Il embrasse l'ensemble des activités artistiques et les métiers d'art. Le « style Art déco » tire son nom de l'Exposition internationale des arts décoratifs et industriels modernes qui se tint à Paris en 19251. « Art déco » est l'abréviation de « arts décoratifs », et concerne l'architecture, plus spécialement l'architecture intérieure (avec ses tapisseries, vitraux, ferronnerie, peintures et sculptures ornementales), et son mobilier (ébénisterie, céramique, orfèvrerie, etc). On peut y associer l'activité de « design » qu'exigent alors les grandes séries d'équipement de l'habitat et des bureaux à cette époque, ainsi que la mode vestimentaire comme, d'une manière générale l'ensemble des arts graphiques. Le style Art déco prend son essor avant la Première Guerre mondiale, à une époque où les volutes et les formes organiques de l'Art nouveau dominent. Il consiste en un retour à la rigueur classique : symétrie, ordres classiques (souvent très stylisés), pierre de taille (sans aucun effet pittoresque). Le décor, en général encore très présent, n'a plus la liberté qu’il présentait dans les années 1900 ; il est sévèrement encadré par ses créateurs et son dessin s'inspire de la géométrisation cubiste.
