Set of 2 demitasse cups and 2 saucers was made by Haviland & Cie in Limoges, France. The Art Deco style form of a footed cups, with 3 small ball feet, is rather rare and hard to find, especially in coffee or demitasse size. In this set the pieces were hand painted by a professional artist in a decorating studio with Victorian style motif of pink English roses. Calm light pink and green colors are accentuated by bright gold rims and gold trim on handles and ball feet; crisp white color of semi-translucent porcelain showcases the soft, delicate decor without overpowering it. The pieces are marked with green underglaze manufacturer mark Haviland France that dates to 1894-1931. The set is in very good antique condition with minimal wear on gold that is appropriate to its age.
