Monumental American tinted plaster relief after John Trumbull’s iconic Declaration of Independence composition. Signed A. Pennino, Boston, Mass., with a presentation plaque appearing to reference the Class of 1927. Finely cast in high relief with strong architectural detail and historic presence, the piece likely dates to the patriotic commemorative period surrounding the 1926 sesquicentennial of American independence.
