About the Item

In this work from her abstract period, Isa Di Battista Gorini. Isa Di Battista Gorini is a Milanese painter who studied painting and decoration at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. After an initial career in advertising graphics, she devoted herself entirely to painting, developing a personal artistic language focused on materiality, transparency and abstract form. In the 1980s, she began using gauze as a distinctive material in her works, creating layered compositions rich in lightness, transparency and symbolic geometry. Her paintings explore the relationship between the visible and the invisible, between sign and silence, between structure and poetry. Through exhibitions such as "Il mistero del segno" (The Mystery of the Sign), "Pietre segrete" (Secret Stones) and "I miei robot" (My Robots), Gorini presented a vision of art as a process of transformation, a language shaped by both matter and spirituality. Her style blends lyrical abstraction with structural tension, encouraging a contemplative dialogue with the viewer.
