Grey Diagonal PPF5 Papiroflexia Area Rug in Hand-knotted Wool by Mohebban Dimensions: W 280 x L 180 cm Materials: Wool. The Papiroflexia collection is born from the parallelism between representation and reality, between plans and three-dimensionality. Starting from traditional rectangular shapes, these rugs develop through different types of folds in orthogonal versions or with more complex shapes, inspired by the art of “Origami” that led the Spanish designer Miguel Reguero to the discovery of new geometries. Hand-knotted rugs in wool and viscose with variations in texture, colors and shades aimed at creating amazement in the observer and decorating contemporary living. The carpet is not a simple furnishing accessory: it is a culture that has been handed down for generations, with wise gestures and refined techniques. With its shape it defines a physical but also spiritual space, and through the knots it tells an ancient and contemporary story, contributing to enriching the private universe of its owner with beauty and uniqueness. A responsibility not to be underestimated, of which the Mohebban family is fully aware. Since the early 1970s, Mohebban has been producing carpets of the highest quality, without forgetting these values and the profound meaning of a thousand-year-old art. From Iran, the family's place of origin, to Milan, the company's headquarters for more than half a century, passing through Turkey, India and Pakistan where production takes place today: for three generations an international vision, in which tradition, attention to detail, ancient gestures find their place, always accompanied by a contemporary look, attentive to design and the challenges of a dynamic and constantly evolving present.
