About the Item

This is a very rare Commemorative Bust of A Suku Councillor from Congo in Central Africa. The piece has been created by a Master craftsman . Carved from very dense wood to represent the Stately qualities of the original owner. Carved very much in a European style but retains it's Suku heritage . Attached to the piece is a copper inscription detailing the name of the original owner and his position in the area . The piece will date from 1954 and is quite majestic in its sculptural quality .
