About the Item

1930’s French Black Café Enamel Coolie Lights – 9.5 Inch. Classic enamel coolie shade from France. One of the most basic and timeless shapes, a simple ‘coolie hat’ shade made from spun steel and enamel. The shade has been cleaned and restored and all electrical components have been removed and replaced with modern European CE standard components to BS EN 60598 and is tested and labelled to BS EN 60598. INCLUDED: The lamp comes completely wired and ready to install including; 2 metres of black fabric covered electrical cable and a clamp ceiling hook as shown. The lamp is fitted with a standard bayonet cap lamp holder for which a wide range of modern and vintage style filament bulbs are widely available. We do not currently sell bulbs and recommend LED bulbs 6W maximum. We can also supply more than 2 metres of hanging cable as required, please contact us separately to discuss. We are specialists in refurbishment of vintage lighting, please contact us with any questions regarding purchase or installation. The lamp is currently wired and fitted for UK and EU compliance. The lamp can be wired for compliance in the US or any global market. Listing is for one lamp. We hold large stocks of original vintage lamps for private and commercial use. The price listed is for one chair and you can order any quantity subject to the maximum available. Workshop Report: We take electrical safety very seriously, our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that every lamp leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. Each lamp has been cleaned and restored and all original electrical components have been removed and replaced with modern European CE standard components to BS EN 60598.
