1960s industrial caged hanging ceiling pendant lamps/lights with original glass – Various quantities available 1960s vintage industrial caged hanging ceiling pendant lamps/lights with original glass. We have a large number of these stunning caged hanging lamps available. We salvaged these from a large commercial plant nursery in France where they had been hanging since the 1960s. Sadly they were in a sorry state so we have had them media blasted and clear lacquered, retaining the character but bringing them back to their original state. Made from pressed steel with their original glass domes and hand made wire cages. We have a large stock and they are being sold singularly. These lamps are a great visual statement perfect for a hall, contemporary kitchen or living space, we love them hung in clusters with bright coloured cable. Each lamp has been cleaned and restored and all electrical components have been removed and replaced with modern European CE standard components to BS EN 60598. Each lamp is individually tested and labelled to BS EN 60598. Included: Each lamp comes completely wired and ready to install including; 2 metres of stainless steel 2mm diameter wire rope for hanging the lamp (with 2 easy to use simplex grips), 2 metres of fabric covered electrical cable and a ceiling hook as shown. The lamp is fitted with a standard E27 threaded lamp holder for which a wide range of modern and vintage style filament bulbs are widely available. We do not currently sell bulbs and recommend LED bulbs 6W maximum. The lamps are shown with various colour cables (red 12/Orange 11/Yellow 10/Lime 9), please refer to the colour chart below and advise your choice of colour in the comments at checkout. Our alternative cable colours (in stock) are as shown in the images with numbered cables. If you wish to select a different cable colour please state the colour number in the comments at checkout. Additional special order colours are available and we can also supply more than 2 metres of hanging cable/wire/chain etc as required, please contact us separately to discuss. Workshop Report Workshop report lighting: We take electrical safety very seriously, our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that every lamp leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. Each lamp has been cleaned and restored and all original electrical components have been removed and replaced with modern European CE standard components to BS EN 60598. Each lamp is individually tested and labelled to BS EN 60598. Each lamp comes completely wired and ready to install by a qualified electrician. All of our lamps are Class 1 and earthed. In addition where physically possible we go beyond the regulations and double insulate all electrical components and fit additional grommets and protective cable sheathing at any potential points of cable movement. Each lamp is delivered with installation instructions. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use.
