About the Item

A reclaimed retro industrial Korean flameproof striplight made by Daeyang circa 1970 professionally finished using a poli noir technique. Poli Noir is also known as black polish or spéculaire and is practiced in watch making where a high lustre is required, the poli noir finish is extremely reflective and also can appear to be black depending on the viewing angle. This ceiling fixture was originally reclaimed from super tankers, cargo ships and military vessels and then has been professionally restored by Loomlight in the UK ready for use in modern interiors. We welcome bespoke requests for different paint colors and finishes. The fixtures weighs approximately 7kg. We supply it fitted with x4 Edison filament warm white LED tubes 100v or 220v compatible. The main body is cast aluminum with brass fittings, and glass cylindrical tubes housing the LED lamps. The cable entry glands have been stripped of the original chrome and polished back to the brass casting. This fixture has been fitted with a tubular hanger and heavy duty ceiling rose, the drop can be cut to a specific length please message to confirm the length of the pipe you require. The fixture in these images hangs 72 inches from the ceiling to the underside of the light. The light has an original manufacturers specification label and is rated IP56 and explosion proof which allow them to be used in wet zones such as bathrooms and kitchens. All lights are professionally re-wired in-house to exceed British Standards using CE approved components. Dimensions and weights are approximate. For all orders to USA, UL listed bulb holders and 100v bulbs will be fitted. All lights are sold ready for use in your home or commercial installation.
