About the Item

Monumental Spanish style wrought iron chandelier, circa 1950-1970. Hand-forged iron in a geometric octagonal form with 6 candle lights mounted on disc bobeches. The heavy strap iron frame has angular corners with projecting vertical posts - very architectural and Gothic Revival in feel. The finish is authentic: dark brown/black iron with natural rust oxidation and patina as seen in your detail photos. Decades of exposure created this "monastery/mission" surface - no paint, just honest age. The heavy hand-forged chains and ceiling plate are original and add to the medieval aesthetic. Octagonal form is rarer than round and appeals to buyers wanting architectural lighting. Originally candle style, now electrified with faux candle sleeves. This is statement lighting - perfect over dining table, kitchen island, or entryway for Spanish Colonial, modern farmhouse, or industrial interiors. The weight + hand-forging prove it’s not a mass-produced repro.
