Beautiful color and good size vintage Italian murano fixture with mouthblown glass in a blackened thread metal frame. This particular specimen has a rare, 'light-smoked' amberish glass shade which makes it very special and aesthetically pleasing. Both with the light switched on and off this mouth blown work of lighting art has a unique presence that will never fail to impress. The glass is in perfect condition (no scratches, chips or cracks) and the original and all hand forged frame with its tiny curls and swirls is a work of blacksmithing art by itself. It must have taken a skilled artisan at least several days to first draw this design on paper and then cut, hammer and forge all the individual pieces together. This handcrafted beauty comes with the original metal, hook-chain and a matching replacement black canopy. The mouthblown glass bulging through the handcrafted metal frame is so organic-looking that it is like it was made by Mother Nature herself. With the light switched on it radiates a beautiful warm light creating just the right atmosphere in your entrance, living room, in your bedroom, landing or on covered front porch.
