About the Item

Studio Lloyd’s exclusive handcrafted light sculpture are made to order. The organic shapes are being created by the use of a mathematical formula which makes it hard to copy the designs. Every Light Sculpture design will only be made once and never replicated again to offer true exclusivity to all customers. The Light Sculptures are made of a steel frame and a handcrafted crochet body made of Multifilament Polypropylene Rope commonly seen in the yachting industries. The rope is made of a blend of polypropylene and nylon, it is soft to the touch and flexible, floats in water and is resistant to rot, mildew, and UV light. It is extremely all-weather durable and due to the UV light protection does not fade in colour. Option to include marble, brass, natural fiber and handcrafted beaded detailing. Studio Lloyd’s Light Sculptures are contemporary functional pieces of art custom designed to the owners design direction and space. Everything is manufactured and handcrafted in Cape Town, South Africa. Please note that the light sculpture images are a design reference as every design will only ever be made once.
