About the Item

A stunning and most impressive French 19th century Neo-Classical st. Ormolu and Baccarat Crystal chandelier. This exceptional fifteen light and fifteen arm chandelier is centered at the bottom by an elegant solid Baccarat Crystal ball suspended from an inverted gadrooned Ormolu toupie finial. Handsome lion heads accent large scale scrolled movements while surrounded by the fifteen scrolled foliate arms adorned with stunning prism and kite shaped Baccarat Crystal pendants leading to the gadroon and foliate decorated bobeches and candle cups. The arms are divided at the body by intricately detailed female masks wearing delicate tiaras and palmette crowns. The baluster shaped central fut displays a stunning band of foliate and rosette designs at the mid section, which is also accented by hanging kite shaped Baccarat Crystals and rosettes. Above is the exquisite top crown comprised of four stunning and richly chased palmettes surrounding a gadrooned band and displaying the same kite shaped and rosettes Baccarat Crystal pendants.
