Rare and elegant French Art Deco pendant chandelier by MARKHBEINN, made in Paris circa 1920. The fixture combines a refined glass shade with a finely detailed bronze mounting, creating a balanced and sophisticated composition characteristic of early French Art Deco lighting. The glass remains the principal decorative element, while the bronze framework provides structure and visual rhythm without overpowering the overall design. MARKHBEINN, located at 25-37 rue Sedaine in Paris’ 11th arrondissement, was part of the active Parisian lighting and decorative arts industry during the early 20th century. This pendant reflects the transition toward the cleaner geometry and restrained elegance associated with the emerging Art Deco style, while preserving the high level of craftsmanship and use of quality materials typical of French decorative lighting. The glass shade provides a soft, diffused light, while the bronze detailing adds warmth and refinement to the composition.
