Natura Astarta Medium Ceramic Pendant Lamp by Makhno Dimensions: D 26 x W 26 H 44 cm. Materials: Ceramic. ASTARTA are lamps inspired by the nature of the sea creatures. They glow magically in the air, as if among the gentle waves of the sea. NATURA by MAKHNO — a collection created in partnership with nature NATURA is not merely “inspired by nature.” NATURA is a partnership with nature: in form, in material, and in the rhythm of light. The NATURA collection of applied art was born from a simple observation by Serhii Makhno: the modern home is increasingly ceasing to be a place of renewal. It becomes a showcase, a stage, an extension of the news feed—flawless on the outside, but exhausting on the inside. In such a space, it’s easy to lose silence, lose your rhythm, and lose a sense of grounding. That’s when a rule emerged at MAKHNO: every NATURA piece answers only one question—does it make the person next to it feel calmer? Not more impressive. Just calmer. We took nature not as a decorative image, but as a system—a set of rules that have been working for thousands of years. Light should not be oppressive—it should support and allow the space to breathe. Form should not be aggressive—it should ground and maintain balance. The material must be honest and tactile—to bring a person back to reality through touch, weight, warmth, and texture. That is why, in NATURA, light relieves tension. Form maintains a calm composition. Ceramics do not mask their nature—they retain their weight and presence, giving the body a sense of support. A good life here is neither an idea nor a promise. It is the absence of unnecessary pressure every day. A space where it is easier to be centered, quieter, and closer to oneself. LEHIT introduces the idea of dynamics, continuous movement, which is manifested both in the smooth, flying forms of the lamps and in the revolutionary principle of arranging QUADROPOD art blocks to create three-dimensional art walls, niches, shelves and other structural and decorative elements. Makhno Studio is a workshop of modern Ukrainian design and architecture. We work in Ukrainian contemporary style. According to international experts, this style will change the Scandinavian on the world design stage. Since 2003, we have been creating projects intertwining Ukrainian traditions, world trends and the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, the forces of nature, human talent and architectural mind.
