The Macchina della Luce, part of the Luci d’Oro collection by Catellani & Smith, originates from a reflection on the colour of light—golden like the sun and fire. These warm tones inspired Enzo Catellani to investigate the concept of refraction, which later became a recurring theme in many of his creations. The lamp transforms this poetic exploration of warmth, reflection, and material into a sculptural suspended composition.
