About the Item

Sculptural Murano Pendant light Attributed to La Murrina 1970s This striking and highly unusual Murano glass pendant attributed to the renowned lighting house La Murrina is a sculptural expression of Italian craftsmanship and mid century elegance. The thick silky matte glass shade is gently waved in form creating a soft and organic silhouette. Its surface features a refined mottled feathered design in shades of brown gold tan and taupe artfully arranged in three equidistant segments. A quiet rhythm of earth tones that gives the piece both warmth and movement. A deep brown rim traces the outer edge grounding the design and highlighting the fluidity of the glass. The colors come alive shifting subtly depending on the light. Suspended from a metal chain adjustable in length by adding or removing links the pendant is both functional and decorative. It requires a single E27 E26 bulb and the wiring has been professionally checked and is in full working order. In very good vintage condition the glass is free from cracks chips or scratches. The metal parts show some age related patina adding character without compromising appearance. A rare and atmospheric piece equally suited to refined vintage interiors eclectic spaces or minimalist settings in need of a tactile organic accent.
