About the Item

Tudor style wrought iron chandelier by Ferro Art (also known as Ferroarte), Spain, 1940s. Made entirely of wrought iron worked by hand using techniques such as hammering, welding and forging, with hree torch-shaped lights, and finished in gold leaf. This type of lamps were very common in the decades of the 40s and 50s, where the Castilian style in Spain regained strength, in the same way that the Tudor Revival style did in areas of Europe such as the United Kingdom. Hollywood Regency, Mid Century and Brutalist style. Very much in the style also of the French creations of Maison Jansen and Maison Charles, and the Spanish creations of Ferrocolor. For 3 E14 bulbs. New wiring, with its original brass and ceramic lampholders. LED compatible. Wear on the metal due to the passage of time and use. A chain can be added to increase the lenght. Note: We always try to the fullest to respect and preserve as much as possible all the original elements of each piece (wiring, lampshade, finishes...) so as not to alter the original aesthetics and so that they can continue to have another life with their intact soul. That is why sometimes certain elements can present wear and tear, but they are part of the life of each piece, always providing a very pleasant patina.
