About the Item

Beautiful and elegant Danish Modern floor lamp in teakwood adjustable shade. The lamp foot is made from grey lacquered iron. It is is mounted with a vintage hand folded acrylic Le Klint shade that can be adjusted in any direction. The style is typical for the Danish Modern functionalism of the 1950s and resembles works by Kaare Klint, Svend Aage Holm Sørensen and Vilhelm Lauritzen.

Cool and beautiful floor lamp handmade by Svend Aage Holm-Sørensen in his own workshop in the 1960s. The brilliant design allows you to adjust the height simply by moving the brass rod up and down along the oakwood part of the base. The lamp is very nicely patinated and comes with a brand new shade in light flax linen. This lamp was only produced in the 1960s in very limited numbers and is therefore a rare find. Dane Svend Aage Holm-Sørensen (1913-2004) had a creative streak beyond the ordinary.
