About the Item

Adapted from a French Surveyor’s stand with red stain and the legs are capped with iron. Wired with a silk cord. Conical metal lampshade with a light grey galvanized finish. Features two natural/distressed wood legs paired with a contrasting red-painted third leg for an architectural pop. Bold statement lighting piece. Editorial Narrative A striking mid-20th-century industrial tripod floor lamp repurposed from a surveyor or draftsman's wooden tripod base. Featuring heavy-tapered timber legs paired with a wide conical spun-metal shade, this lamp balances utilitarian raw materials with strong architectural proportions—an exceptional lighting accent for modern lofts, executive offices, or rustic studio spaces. Construction & Design Details: Tripod Frame: Constructed from solid hardwood legs with warm honey tones and red-painted interior faces. Joined by dark iron triangular cross-braces and cast hardware collars for structural stability. Conical Metal Shade: Fitted with a broad, lightweight galvanized or painted sheet metal shade in a muted matte silver-grey finish, casting downward task and ambient illumination.
