About the Item

Good lighting design often strikes a balance between form and function, and this circa 1970s floor lamp is a beautiful example of that harmony. Inspired by the shapes and materials of the past, its influence can still be seen in lighting design today. Polished brass tubes cascade gracefully over one another, their flowing forms reminiscent of brass musical instruments. Each tube anchors into a solid walnut base, whose softly bullnosed edge echoes the curves of the brass above.
