About the Item

Inspired by the Parisian street lights, Régis Botta designed this floor lamp to create ambient, warm light. This floor lamp is the most striking of the “Parisienne” collection, both in terms of size and design. Favouring pure, evident lines this floor lamp’s aluminium and brass structure with the pale gold finish is an immediately recognisable design in itself, which is topped off by the sand-blasted blown glass shade. Régis Botta considers the space like a geometric field, and light like a mass to carve. It then follows that the organic looking shade and the more geometrical base create visual interest, and that the bystander can almost feel the lamp’s weight just by looking. Simplicity meets grand presentation and mastery of finish in this floor lamp. The LED illumination creates a warm, diffused light which is the guiding principle to each design. Botta graduated at the Belleville School of Architecture, and founded his namesake studio in 2011. His style and Ozone’s naturally aligned, therefore their collaboration brought to life countless projects, including the “la Parisienne”. This lamp, as part of the series by Régis Botta x Ozone was launched in 2016, as part of the collection inspired by a nocturnal stroll under the street lights of Paris. Condition: In great condition. Wear consistent with age and use. Shade has some minor scratches. Dimensions: 10.62 in W x 10.62 in D x 67.32 in H 27 cm W x 27 cm D x 171 cm H About the Designer: Régis Botta graduated at the Belleville School of Architecture, and founded his namesake studio in 2011. Favouring pure, evident lines, Régis: his style and Ozone’s naturally aligned. Their collaboration brought to life countless projects, including the Mauboussin boutique, Rue de la Paix. In 2016, la Parisienne by Regis Botta x Ozone was launched, a collection inspired by a nocturnal stroll under the street lights of Paris. First and foremost, Ozone is the story of a friendship: Etienne Gounot and Eric Jähnke were just 25 when they met in an office where they both worked as industrial engineers. Six years later, something clicked. They abandoned mapped-out careers to instead give free rein to their creativity. This decision led to the creation of Ozone in 2000. Wonderfully combining magic, technology and architecture, light was their inspiration. Since then, the two founders have specialized in lighting design and have realized collection pieces as well as custom installations for architects, decorators and corporations. Manufactured in Paris, Ozone light fixtures blends the Parisian “métiers d'art” to the latest LED light technologies. Their clean lines compose a timeless geometry that is sometimes classic, modernist or minimal. The assembly details, metal finishes and lighting performance of Ozone luminaires are of the highest level. ~H.
