About the Item

Brutalist and Atomic Era style wrought iron flush mount by Ferro Art (also known as Ferroarte), Spain, 1950s. Handmade wrought iron structure using metalwork techniques such as hammered, welded and hand-crafted. The sun rays are welded as a crown to a central hammered metal piece where the lamp holders are located. Gold leaf finish. It can be used as a wall light or sconce too. Atomic Era, Sputnik, Mid-Century Modern, Danish, Scandinavian, Nordic and Starburst style ceiling light. Very much in the style also of Maison Jansen and Maison Charles’s Hollywood Regency style creations, of Ferrocolor’s Spanish designs, and the brutalist Italian creations of Longobard. Very vintage light fixture, with a certaing Gothic Revival, Tudor and Brutalist air. Very similar to Willy Daro's Belgium creations for Massive Lighting. For two E14 bulbs. Electrical installation renewed and fully operational. LED compatible. Slight signs of wear and tear from the passage of time (see photos). Had two holes that have been sealed and restored (see last photos). Note: We always try to the fullest to respect and preserve as much as possible all the original elements of each piece (wiring, lampshade, finishes...) so as not to alter the original aesthetics and so that they can continue to have another life with their intact soul. That is why sometimes certain elements can present wear and tear, but they are part of the life of each piece, always providing a very pleasant patina.
