About the Item

A good size vintage hand-blown glass bell jar lantern with central three-bulb candelabra cluster. England, 1930-1939. Glass bell with etched engraved grapevines motifs hold by a burnished brass rolled band, chain and canopy. It takes three E14 candelabra screw bulbs - up to 40watt each. Measures: Height of the lantern including glass plate: 22" / 56 cm Total diameter 13" / 33 cm. Glass diameter: 12" / 30 cm Actual total height including chain and canopy: 39" / 98 cm, adjustable height by shortening or extending the chain - 24 inches chain available. Very good vintage condition, beautiful aged patina to brass, rewired. A thin chip on the bottom of the glass—almost invisible when the lantern is hanging from the ceiling—appears to be part of the etched motifs.
