About the Item

1950’s Very Large Bullicante Glass Wall Or Ceiling Lamp 1950’s Very Large Bullicante Glass Wall Or Ceiling Lamp. Extraordinary mouth blown and hand formed glass lamps made in the Czech republic using the traditional Murano bullicante glass. The molten clear glass orb is hot rolled rapidly infusing air bubbles into the cooling glass. The Czech republic has a rich international history of glass production championed by the iconic Lustry Kamenicky Senon glassworks. In exceptional original condition, the mounting base is polished aluminium which has been cleaned and sealed. All our lamps have been carefully restored and all electrical components have been removed and replaced with modern European CE standard components to BS EN 60598. Each lamp is individually tested and labelled to BS EN 60598. INCLUDED: Each lamp comes completely wired and ready to install The lamp is fitted with a standard E27 threaded lamp holder for which a wide range of modern and vintage style filament bulbs are widely available. We do not currently sell bulbs and recommend LED bulbs 6W maximum. Listing is for one lamp, ten available when published. WORKSHOP REPORT Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
