ANTIQUE ANGLED HOLOPHANE PRISMATIC GLASS WALL LIGHTS PRICE IS PER LIGHT An stunning run of antique Holophane prismatic glass lights with original aged brass fittings, swan neck wall brackets with heavy cast brass wall plates. Fittings are all stamped "Holophane" and "PAT No 28498/15 Glass shades also bearing the Holophane makers marks The Snippet from our 1936 catalogue show the various sizes and variation available in this shape shade officially known as "HOLOPHANE CONCENTRATING STILETTO REFLECTORS" which were designed to give a wide asymmetrical light distribution. The reflective power of the prismatic glass is seven times that of the bare lamp, likely the reason these were so popular for lighting window displays in tradition shop windows throughout the 20th century. A beautiful light that will look stunning in any interior especially when used in multiples. The light comes completely restored, tested ready to install. WHY IS VINTAGE HOLOPHANE SO POPULAR IN INTERIOR DESIGN In addition to its practical qualities, vintage Holophane glass is highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts of vintage and industrial design. The prismatic texture of the glass creates a unique visual effect that is both beautiful and functional, making it a popular choice for use in home decor and lighting fixtures. The vintage Holophane glass is often paired with high-quality metal fixtures, such as brass or cast iron, to create a look that is both elegant and industrial in style. When renovating our original reclaimed lighting all existing electrical parts are removed and renewed with modern electrical components. All components used are CE certified and our lights are wired & tested in line with BSEN Standards. As standard our lights come with 1m of our premium fabric three core cable to a colour of your choice unless stated otherwise in the product description. Generally, ES or BS lamp holders are used unless otherwise stated and are fully compatible with main dimmers and modern LED filament bulbs. Our lights can be wired to bespoke specifications, longer lengths, different cable types and compatibility with specialist dimming systems such as DALI can all be accommodated. Lights supplied to U.S.A and Canada are installed using UL Certified cable and lamp holders. As standard we supply round black fabric cable and E26 holders. Please note that although we use UL certified components our original reclaimed lights do not come with UL certification. Due to the antique nature of our original vintage lights, we cannot offer an official IP rating and cannot guarantee our lights for external use. RARE SILVERED GLASS WALL SCONES BY PITTSBURGH REFLECTOR COMPANY SOLD IN PAIRS A wonderful run of rare mercury glass shades manufactured by the "Pittsburgh Refectory Company" in the United States circa 1940. Mounted on aged brass swan neck brackets which can be adjusted vertically to allow the shades to direct light in a number of direction depending on application. Identified from our 1937 brochure the shades were knows item Permaflector No P- 75 and were designed for indirect lighting for coves where concentrated distribution was required and also for lighting wall signage and boards. The silvered glass reflector show wonderful aging to the mirror glass which only exaggerates the beautiful lighting affect produced by these vintage glass shades...
