About the Item

Blackened Brass Scoop Wall Light by Henry Wilson Dimensions: W 33 x D 12 x H 18 cm Materials: Blackened brass. In addition to a frontal slot that projects light outwards, the Scoop Wall Light features openings at the top and bottom of the sconce, which allow light to wash up and down the wall on which it is mounted. It can be mounted to any surface by means of a discreetly concealed plate. The design utilizes a dual bulb holder suitable for E26 and E27 bulbs. The Scoop Wall Light is sand-cast in solid metal, and manufactured in small batches. This means slight variations will occur from one piece to another. Production marks may include slight pour ripples or surface pitting. Henry Wilson's work combines a rational, democratic utility with an element of sculptural expression. There is a clear form and function in our products, but it’s important they also have feeling. We are interested in the awkward beauty that comes from something made by hand. We like to explore how imperfection can be introduced into an Industrial process, to make something at scale that retains a sense of individual charm.
