About the Item

The wall sconces are French Art Deco pieces with a frosted molded crystal shade, likely a model known as "les Roses," which was produced by Baccarat exclusively for the lighting company Hettier & Vincent around 1930. The sconces feature a beautiful floral and fruit motif in relief, characteristic of the Art Deco period's embrace of stylized nature themes. The frosted shades are cradled in brushed brass holders with a tapering form. Baccarat systematically marked their creations from 1860 onward, using an engraving, a red label, or a laser-etched logo, but this specific shade model was often unsigned as it was an exclusive design for Hettier & Vincent. Dimensions: 3 1/2 D x 9” W x 8 1/2" H Condition: roughage and expected edge chips of which some are deep but hidden by the brass frame and not affecting the presentation. One tiny chip to upper right front corner. There is oxidation/discoloration/verdigris deposits/stains to brass, imperfections to glass that are original to production.
