Guillerme & Chambron Double Wall Sconce – Blonde Oak, France, Circa 1970s A beautifully crafted double wall light sconce designed by the renowned French duo Jacques Chambron and Robert Guillerme for Votre Maison, circa 1970s. This stylish 'applique' is made from solid blonde oak, showcasing the designers’ signature balance of rustic warmth and refined modernist lines. The original frosted glass shades diffuse light softly and create a warm, inviting ambience. In very good vintage condition with nice patina. Professionally rewired for your country, suitable for use worldwide. A striking and authentic piece of French mid-century design Dimensions: Height: 53cm/20.87 in. Width: 40 cm/15.75 in. Depth: 23cm/9.05 in. Weight 1.8kg/3.97lbs Guillerme and Chambon furniture, sold by the manufacturer “Votre maison,” was born out of a meeting between two men, Jacques Chambron, a graduate of the École des Arts Appliqués in Reims, and Robert Guillerme, an interior designer and graduate of the École Boule, and a project that gradually grew amid the many shortages of the time. Made from solid oak, this furniture perfectly represents the robust and subtly rustic branch that grew out of the post-war Modern Movement. Creative and original, the Votre Maison style quickly established itself as high-quality furniture that could finally be used in everyday life.
