About the Item

Made from cast aluminium this light is manufactured by Kokosha a Japanese manufacturer of nautical grade electrical fixtures and fittings. The quality of this item is superb, a build quality you never see these days and is obviously immortal! This light would have been one of hundreds installed on a supertanker indoors and out, originally would have been painted but it has been expertly cleaned back to its raw state. . the cap on the side has some fantastic detail of manufacturer, serial numbers, weight, type etc and give it excellent character. You will also find more serial numbers and approval stamps on the opposite side, the bolts are signed with the letter 'b'. It has been rewired and tested by loomlight and is ready to hang in its new home where i should imagine this will only be a small chapter in its lifetime. The lamp fitted is a standard 150 watt domestic bulb mounted on an 'Edison screw' ceramic lamp holder, these are very limited and since there are lots of these sold on this listing it may come with an es 60watt. This is a chance to own a fixture that is completely unique and of superior quality to anything else Industrial on the market. We can convert to a desk lamp, please enquire...
