About the Item

Elegant pair of Italian Rococo Revival wall sconces from the 1960s, featuring gracefully scrolling arms, richly detailed acanthus leaf motifs, and a beautifully aged cream-painted and gilt finish. The sculptural design is inspired by the decorative Louis XV and Rococo tradition, with flowing curves and finely detailed foliate ornamentation. The warm gilded accents contrast beautifully with the distressed cream finish, creating depth and character while highlighting the craftsmanship of the carved decoration. Both sconces accommodate two E14 bulbs and provide a balanced combination of decorative presence and functional illumination. Equally attractive when lit or unlit, they work beautifully in hallways, living rooms, bedrooms, dressing rooms, or as decorative accent lighting on either side of a mirror or fireplace. A charming and authentic pair of Italian decorative wall lights with a warm patina developed over decades of use.
