About the Item

Exceptional pair of Mid-Century Modern wall sconces. A testament to modernist design, these fixtures transcend mere illumination, acting as functional wall art. The sculptural, capsule-like form is constructed from a dynamic assembly of vertical acrylic slats. The design features an intelligent layering of crystal-clear lucite fins alternated with deeply amber-smoked (or bronze-toned) acrylic. When lit, the clear acrylic refracts the light brilliantly, while the smoked fins create a warm, sultry glow and add depth to the piece. The entire structure is held within a sleek, black enameled metal cage frame, providing a sharp, architectural contrast to the translucent materials. High-quality manufacture. These sconces cast a beautiful, patterned light, making them ideal for flanking a vanity mirror, defining a hallway, or adding sophisticated ambiance to a living or dining area.
