About the Item

Produced by Philips in the 1990s, these wall-mount sconces feature a strictly geometric rectangular form finished entirely in white. The white enameled metal frame supports a white acrylic diffuser that softens and distributes light. The lower bracket plate extends outward from the wall, directing light both upward through the diffuser and downward along the wall surface. Philips, founded in Eindhoven, Netherlands in 1891, became one of Europe's largest lighting manufacturers through the 20th century. By the 1990s, the company's consumer and architectural lighting lines reflected the clean geometric minimalism prevalent in European design of the period — favoring simple forms, neutral finishes, and functional construction over decorative detail. Shows wear consistent with age and use. Listed individually.
