Set Of 2 Brass and Orange Onyx Oyster Wall Sconces by MATLIGHT Milano Unique Pieces. Dimensions: D 9 x W 29 x H 48 cm. Materials: Orange onyx and brass. Handmade In Italy. All our lamps can be wired according to each country. If sold to the USA, it will be wired for the USA, for instance. Please contact us. Two mirror-image organic forms, handcrafted from rare mustard-yellow onyx, with unique and unrepeatable veining. At the center, a hammered brass element with a fluid, sinuous shape appears to float on the stone, diffusing light and enhancing its natural hues. Each sconce is a luminous sculpture, a perfect balance of material and light, creating a striking visual impact. Sold exclusively as a pair, they are unique, non-replicable pieces. Matlight Milano was born of the design philosophy of its founder, Matteo Terragni, and represents his vision in the lighting world. After years working abroad in the international finance sector, he made the radical choice to bet everything on expressing his design vision with a completely new project, based on the concrete nature of stone: looking beyond the surface and opacity of the material, towards illuminotechnical solutions which include aesthetic research and innovation. The concept The creator of many of the brand’s collections, Matteo Terragni, is driven by the desire to enhance the material element – solid and primitive – through a new lightness, moulding it into transparent illumination creations, with pure, geometric forms. A new design and production context where the human contribution is also key, from the artisan production of the product through to the dialogue with the customer on the wide range of customisations available.
