About the Item

A stunning and high quality set of four French 19th century Louis XV st. Ormolu Parrot sconces. Each most charming three arm sconce has a richly chased and most decorative Parrot standing on a scrolled branch. The branch leads to a foliate saucer below the candle cup, with two additional scrolled arms above. The middle arm leads to a reeded designed saucer and candle cup with bands, while the top displays a gadroon shaped saucer and baluster shaped candle cup. All original gilt throughout.
