About the Item

The white enamel wash, the scene reminiscent of a classical Greek or Roman setting, and the urn form make this French Zinc lamp unique and irresistible. The antique Neoclassical style cast metal footed urn lamp body probably 19th Century; probably fitted into a lamp in the 20th Century The body of circular section with figural relief surmounted by a twisted-cast pillar and two scrolling handles, raised on a narrow cast stem on domed molded foot. The overall height: 33 inches tall; 7 inches diameter and 7 inches wide. A stunning lamp. There are beautiful scrolls or flourishes to the lamp, which is quite heavy. This is another piece from the estate of the collector/dealer whose inventory has been liquidated by his heirs.
