About the Item

An elegant Art Deco table lamp dating to circa 1930, distinguished by its architectural chrome-plated body and large hand-moulded opaline glass shade. The square-profile upper section features diagonal ribbing framed by broad decorative borders incorporating registered medieval-inspired character motifs. Below, a reeded tubular column rises to a detailed capital and substantial chrome-plated gallery. The lamp retains its impressive acorn-shaped opaline glass shade, which produces a soft, atmospheric illumination when lit. The combination of polished metal, geometric detailing and sculptural glass gives the piece a particularly distinctive decorative presence. Fitted with its period chrome-plated B22 bayonet bulb holder. The lamp has been professionally wired, earthed and tested and is in working order.
