About the Item

This table lamp is the "Bricola" (or "Bricola Veneziana") model, an iconic design piece created by designer Federica Marangoni for the Italian company ITRE around 1972-1975 The design is distinguished by its sculptural structure that recalls the "bricole," the wooden poles used in the Venice lagoon for navigation. It consists of oval tubes made of transparent Murano glass with white streaks ("variegated" effect), held together by a metal or methacrylate band and resting on a circular base This model was exhibited in the Permanent Collection of the Milan Triennale
