About the Item

This exceptional and highly decorative set of four French Art Deco candlestick lamps, dating from the 1920s, displays the refined combination of metalwork, geometry, and ornament characteristic of French decorative arts of the period. Their sculptural construction and elegant use of gilt details are reminiscent of the sophisticated wrought-metal vocabulary associated with Gilbert Poillerat. Each lamp features a patinated green bronze base embellished with eight gilt spheres, creating a striking contrast between the deep green surface and the warm metallic accents. The vertical candle elements are made of wood and painted in an ivory tone, giving the lamps the appearance of stylized traditional candlesticks while retaining a distinctly modern Art Deco character. The lamps are fitted with gold-colored E14 sockets, each finished with a delicate white porcelain crown, an elegant detail that enhances the refined character of the design. Dimensions: Height: 14.6 in. (37 cm) without bulb; Diameter: 4.5 in. (11.5 cm). The set remains in good original antique condition. The bronze patina and vintage painted surfaces have intentionally been preserved rather than restored, retaining the subtle traces of age that contribute to the authenticity and decorative appeal of these nearly century-old pieces. The four lamps have been newly electrified and will be delivered wired for your country, including the United States, European Union, Australia, and other destinations. They are equipped with E14 sockets, are compatible with LED bulbs, and bulbs are not included. Rare as a complete set of four, these 1920s French Art Deco candlestick lamps would make an elegant symmetrical arrangement on a console, mantel, dining-room sideboard, or in a sophisticated Art Deco or contemporary interior.
