About the Item

Striking Swedish table lamp from the 1960s, attributed to Glas & Trä Hovmantorp. The sculptural square body is crafted in warm teak and decorated on all four sides with thick amber-red molded glass panels, each secured with small brass fittings. The deeply textured glass gives the lamp a rich architectural character and creates beautiful warm reflections when illuminated. The combination of teak, amber glass and brass is characteristic of Scandinavian lighting design of the period. The gently shaped upper section of the wooden base gives the otherwise geometric design an elegant profile. Three matching lamps are available and are sold individually. Two lamps are available with the large cream-colored fabric shades shown in the photographs, while one lamp is available without a shade. The price is per lamp and remains the same with or without shade. Please specify your preference when ordering.
