Pair of 19th century Chinese porcelain Ginger Jars converted into table lamps with wood bases. The pair is beautifully painted with delicate images of flowers and green leaves.

A very good quality pair of Japanese Meiji period (1868-1912) Satsuma porcelain vases / lamps. Each with wonderful gilded classical motif decoration, with inset hand painted panels depicting various scenes of courtiers in attendance and Samurai warriors. Both mounted on ormolu oriental stands.

This is truly an unusual pair of lamps, with a black and turquoise blue salmon roe fish ground and an elaborate and unusual number of round cartouches, each with a different interior design.
