Elegant, but she's heard that before. Serpentine is a large, hand-thrown ceramic table lamp with a tall, gently tapered body, finished in a drip-glazed emerald and bronze. The silhouette is elongated and slender, narrower-shouldered than a classic urn, with a taller overall profile and less dramatic waist — a graceful, considered shape for this large ceramic table lamp. This ceramic lamp base is entirely handmade in our London studio — thrown, glazed and finished by hand, with a striking drip-glaze effect that varies from piece to piece. No two lamps are ever quite identical. This large ceramic table lamp measures 40cm tall by 30cm wide (15.75in H x 11.8in W), making it substantial enough to anchor a console table, sideboard, hallway table, or large bedside table. Its emerald and bronze drip glaze and tall, tapered silhouette make it particularly well suited to English country house interiors, richly layered and maximalist schemes, and collected interiors looking for a striking, colourful centrepiece. This is a lamp base only; the lampshade is sold separately. Pictured here styled with a 50cm shade, though the base pairs beautifully with a range of shade sizes and shapes depending on the room and the desired scale. Each lamp is made to order in our London studio, hand-thrown and hand-glazed to specification, with a six-to-eight week lead time from order to delivery.
