About the Item

Palm Beach Regency and French Riviera style cane table lamp, France, 1960s. Entirely handmade and composed of a base and a lampshade made of cane, wood, wicker and rattan. Tiki, Safari and Mid-Century Modern style, with a certain Brutalist and Hollywood Regency air. Very much in the style of Tito Agnoli, Romeo Rega, Franco Albini and Louis Sognot's Italian designs of the 60s and 70s, where cane, bamboo, wood and wicker were their main materials when making this type of luminaires, furniture and other objects, which were very fashionable, and still are, along the entire French and Italian coastline of the Côte d'Azur. For one E27 bulb (compatible with American E26 bulbs). Electrical installation renewed and fully operational, with its original lamp holder. LED compatible. Very good condition, with slight signs of the passage of time. Note: We always try to the fullest to respect and preserve as much as possible all the original elements of each piece (wiring, lampshade, finishes...) so as not to alter the original aesthetics and so that they can continue to have another life with their intact soul. That is why sometimes certain elements can present wear and tear, but they are part of the life of each piece, always providing a very pleasant patina.
