About the Item

Striking French mid-century ceramic table lamp from the 1950s, featuring a highly sculptural “siren” or biomorphic form with fluid curves and openwork volumes. The elegant silhouette, with its intertwined handles and organic lines, reflects the artistic freedom and experimentation of post-war French ceramic design. The base is finished in a beautiful matte turquoise glaze, enhancing the soft, sensual contours of the form. The lamp is paired with its original tapered fabric shade which diffuses a warm and atmospheric light.
