This table lamp is created from a mid-century ceramic vase by Hubert Guy, a potter associated with the renowned Accolay ceramics community in Burgundy, France. The vase features a classic baluster form with a rounded body, narrow waist, and gently flaring neck, giving the piece a sculptural silhouette characteristic of French studio pottery of the period. The surface is finished in a mottled light blue glaze layered over a warm brown ground, producing a richly textured volcanic effect.
