About the Item

Minimalist table lamp by Philips, based on a design by Louis Kalff from the 1960s. A minimalist design. The shade features a flat, disc-like shape. The edge is curved downward and is particularly wide. In the center is a round opening beneath which the E27 socket is located. The shade’s gray color is echoed in the simple disc-shaped base. The shade and base are connected by an angled chrome stem. The lamp is designed for use with reflector bulbs (not included). These fit perfectly into the upper opening of the lamp, so that the reflector protrudes from the top of the shade. The light thus shines primarily downward, preventing glare. The entire design is based on this principle of indirect lighting. The lamp is in very good condition with signs of use and patina.
