About the Item

Mid-Century Modern Swiss Type 60 Minimalist Table Lamp by Rosemarie and Rico Baltensweiler for Baltensweiler, 1960s A minimalist table lamp by the Swiss manufacturer Baltensweiler, based on a design by Rosemarie and Rico Baltensweiler from the 1950s. This piece is from an early series produced in the 1960s. A functional design with a very straightforward aesthetic. The reflector shade is black, and the dome is made of aluminum. A perfectly fitted push-button switch is located at the top of the dome. The lamp’s construction allows for a high degree of flexibility thanks to its various joints. The heavy disc base effortlessly supports the arm, which extends quite far outward in places. The lamp is in very good condition with signs of use and patina. A grey, vintage Mid-Century Modern Italian table lamp made of hand crafted brushed aluminum, designed by Riccardo Blumer and produced by Artemide, featuring a one light socket in good condition. This desk light is a discontinued model, the base has still the original label. The wires have been renewed. Wear consistent with age and use. circa 1960, Italy. Since 2006, Blumer works at the University of San Marino, Italy.
