About the Item

Neoclassical Corinthian Column Form Table Lamp, A handsome Neoclassical-style table lamp in the form of a Corinthian column, combining a mix of finishes and materials for rich visual interest. The lamp rises from a square chrome plinth base to a slender white-painted cylindrical column shaft, its base and neck ringed in polished chrome moldings. The column is crowned with a richly cast bronzed-metal capital, its acanthus leaf and volute detailing rendered in the classic Corinthian order, a direct architectural quotation lending the piece an air of scholarly, old-world gravitas. Above the capital, a gilt-brass fluted riser supports two sockets, each fitted with a pull-chain switch, allowing the lamp to be used with one or two bulbs for adjustable illumination, well suited to a desk, library table, or console. With its architectural silhouette and tactile mix of white, chrome, and bronzed metal, this lamp would make a distinguished addition to a study, library, or any interior with a classical sensibility.
